Use our free-to-use and fast X3D to MP4 file converter to expertly convert your X3D files perfectly into the MP4 file format, ready for further editing or use in your favourite MP4 file editing application. Our tool can also batch convert your X3D files, enabling you to convert up to 20 files in one go.
Or drag and drop your files here to upload.
A maximum of 20 files can be uploaded at once.
Use the button above to select the X3D files you wish to upload; once selected, you can click the Upload button to start the conversion. Once all your files have been converted, you will be able to download your MP4 files either individually or all together in a compressed ZIP file.
Here are two simple steps to convert your X3D to MP4 using our fast and free X3D converter tool.
First, click the "Upload..." button and select your X3D file to upload. Your X3D file will be uploaded to our servers. When the X3D to MP4 conversion has completed, you can download your MP4 file right away.
We aim to process all X3D to MP4 conversions as quickly as possible; this usually takes around 5 seconds; however, this can be longer for certain files, so please be patient.
We aim to provide the best conversion experience. Our tools are under constant review and development, with new features being added every week.
If your X3D file contains an animation, then our tool will create a MP4 file containing the full-length animation. If there is no animation present, our tool will use a simple rotation animation.

The X3D format is similar to the older WRL 3D modelling format, updated with more features and using a more modern XML file structure. It is designed for describing website virtual worlds.
As it was designed to be the successor to the WRL format, the X3D format supports most of the same capabilities, such as 3D mesh definitions via elements such as the IndexedFaceSet, which comprises geometrical vertices, faces, normals, texture coordinates, and more.
Due to the use of XML to store 3D information, files can grow quite large with complex 3D models. Support for X3D has been mixed, with some 3D editing applications building in access to the format and others mostly ignoring it in favor of other formats such as FBX and GLB.
X3D Converter Capabilities
When converting 3D model or mesh files using our X3D converter, we will attempt to convert colour materials into a suitable format for use in the converted file.

An MP4 file is a modern standard format for storing high-quality motion video in a highly compact and efficient file size. The specific compression algorithm used within an MP4 file can vary from file to file; however, they all enable what would otherwise be a large amount of uncompressed data to be reduced to a fraction of the original size with little or no noticeable difference in playback quality.
Due to their widespread support, MP4 files can be loaded into most video editing applications and played with most video playback software with no additional drivers. Most video sharing sites, such as YouTube, support MP4 as a format when uploading, and most tablets and smart phones can record in the MP4 format.
Audio stored within an MP4 file is usually stored in the MP3 format, taking advantage of that format's high quality and compression capabilities.
The X3D 3D format does not support animations within our conversion tool, so our tool will create a simple 360-degree rotating 3D animation that will be rendered to a MP4 file ready for download.
