Here is our free-to-use 3DS to JPG conversion tool that will take your 3D 3DS model file and convert it into a high-quality JPG image file. If you wish to batch convert multiple 3DS files, our converter supports up to 20 files at a time, with a dedicated download link being provided for each image file once completed.
Or drag and drop your files here to upload.
A maximum of 20 files can be uploaded at once.
With our 3D model 3DS to JPG converter, your 3DS file is uploaded, and a snapshot of the rendered model is created and saved into a JPG image file format. If your 3DS model has any textures, you can include them with your 3DS file at the time of upload. Our tool will automatically determine if any additional files are required to render your 3DS 3D model.
Here are two simple steps to convert your 3DS to JPG using our fast and free 3DS converter tool.
First, click the "Upload..." button and select your 3DS file to upload. Your 3DS file will be uploaded to our servers. When the 3DS to JPG conversion has completed, you can download your JPG file right away.

A 3DS file is a legacy 3D graphics format originally created for use with the 3D Studio software. Although widely supported at the time, 3DS files have fallen in popularity and have been replaced as the 3D format of choice by more capable formats.
There are considerable limitations when working with 3DS files. One major limitation is the format's use of 16-bit values, which limit the total number of vertices and faces to 65536. This number was plenty large enough when the format was created in the early 1990s but has since become a limiting factor with modern 3D models containing millions of vertices and polygons.
Despite its limitations, a significant number of 3DS models still exist, and there are many 3D modeling packages out there that offer support for importing these files.
3DS Converter Capabilities
Our 3DS 3D Model/Mesh tool does not support any color material data contained within 3DS files, so the converted file will not contain any color information.

A JPG file is a compressed and highly efficient image file format whose aim is to store photographic-quality images using a fraction of the storage space compared to other lossy and non-lossy image compression methods available at the time.
The compression used by JPG encoders is "lossy", meaning image colors that are not perceptible to the human eye are discarded during the compression process. The removal of this color data greatly reduces the size of the final JPG file with no discernible loss in quality.
Due to their compact and high-quality format, JPG files are one of the primary image formats used by websites, digital and phone/tablet cameras, and more. This widespread support means JPG files can be edited within most popular image editing software.
Our tool will internally render your 3DS file and capture an image of the 3D render, which will be saved to a JPG file using a high-quality setting, ready for you to download.
