Here are 2 simple steps to convert your BLEND to WRL using our fast and free BLEND converter tool.
Extension | BLEND |
Full Name | Blender |
Type | 3D Model |
Mime Type | application/octet-stream |
Format | Binary |
Opens With | Blender |
The BLEND file extension is the native 3D modelling file format of the ever-popular Blender 3D modelling software. The Blender format originally came into existence in late 1994 and has since evolved into the advanced 3D format we have today.
The format stores complex 3D mesh data along with textures, animations, lighting, and other information related to 3D scene rendering. The format is popular among those creating 3D videogame graphics and animation sequences due to its advanced features and ease of use.
Along with Blender, BLEND files can also be imported into other popular 3D editing software. The open-source nature of the format allows third-party plugins and scripts to be created to run within the Blender editing environment and extend the format's capabilities.
BLEND Converter Capabilities
When converting 3D Model/Mesh files using our BLEND converter we will attempt to convert color materials into a suitable format for use in the converted file.
Extension | WRL |
Full Name | Virtual Reality Modeling Language |
Type | 3D Model |
Mime Type | model/vrml x-world/x-vrml application/x-cc3d |
Format | Text |
Opens With | MeshLab |
The WRL (or VRML) file format is used to store 3D models and their environments in a simple-to-edit, plain text format. The WRL format has been around since the 1990s and has gained widespread support as a convenient 3D graphics format.
The 3D data is stored within the file in a hierarchical format, allowing 3D objects to be grouped and manipulated together. The format also allows 3D objects to be assigned unique IDs, allowing them to be referenced elsewhere in the same document, allowing the same 3D model to be used multiple times while only defining its vertices, faces, and other 3D data once.
While the format still enjoys support within many 3D editing applications, the WRL format has been officially superseded by the XML-based X3D format, which comes with more features and, with its use of the standard XML format, more support amongst 3D modelling applications.
WRL Converter Capabilities
When converting your BLEND to WRL our tool will attempt to accurately convert any color/material information.
Your BLEND file will be converted to a WRL file using our unified 3D model and mesh conversion tool. Our BLEND 3D tool performs accurate conversions of 3D elements such as vertices, faces, normals and relevant material information. As both BLEND and WRL support color material information our tool will also attempt to convert the color information too.
First click the "Upload..." button, select your BLEND file to upload. Your BLEND file will be uploaded to our servers. When the BLEND to WRL conversion has completed, you can download your WRL file straight away.
We aim to process all BLEND to WRL conversions as quickly as possible, this usually takes around 5 seconds however this can be longer for certain files, so please be patient.
We aim to provide the best conversion experience. Our tools are under constant review and development with new features being added every week.
