The PNG graphics file format is a commonly used format for storing 2D images which can be highly compressed by the use a palette if the image has a sufficiently low number of colors (256 colors in general). The PNG file is then further compressed using the DEFLATE compression algorithm to ensure small file sizes that are fast to download.
PNG files are seen as the logical successor to the GIF image file format and was devised in the mid-1990's as a superior format to GIF. PNG files are generally used for company logos, icons and other non-photographic image content. Saving a digital photo in the PNG format will create a much larger file than an equivalent JPG image hence the PNG format being unsuitable for most digital photo content.

The BLEND file type is the native 3D graphics file format of the 3D modelling application Blender. Originally released in 1994 Blender has grown over the years and is one of the most popular 3D applications available.
BLEND files store 3D content such as 3D geometry, vertices, faces, normals, animations, materials and much more. Blender is free and open-source and contains many features you would expect in a high-end 3D editing application and is available for most current operating systems.
Our PNG converter will convert your PNG file to a 3D model using the Heightmap process whereby 2D pixels, based on their luminosity, are converted into 3D space to create a full 3D BLEND model ready for download for further processing in your favourite 3D editing package or for printing on a 3D printer.
First click the "Upload..." button, select your PNG file to upload. Your PNG file will be uploaded to our servers. When the PNG to BLEND conversion has completed, you can download your BLEND file straight away.
