Here is our free-to-use DAE to WEBP conversion tool that will take your 3D DAE model file and convert it into a high-quality WEBP image file. If you wish to batch convert multiple DAE files, our converter supports up to 20 files at a time, with a dedicated download link being provided for each image file once completed.
Or drag and drop your files here to upload.
A maximum of 20 files can be uploaded at once.
With our 3D model DAE to WEBP converter, your DAE file is uploaded, and a snapshot of the rendered model is created and saved into a WEBP image file format. If your DAE model has any textures, you can include them with your DAE file at the time of upload. Our tool will automatically determine if any additional files are required to render your DAE 3D model.
Here are two simple steps to convert your DAE to WEBP using our fast and free DAE converter tool.
First, click the "Upload..." button and select your DAE file to upload. Your DAE file will be uploaded to our servers. When the DAE to WEBP conversion has completed, you can download your WEBP file right away.
We aim to process all DAE to WEBP conversions as quickly as possible; this usually takes around 5 seconds; however, this can be longer for certain files, so please be patient.
We aim to provide the best conversion experience. Our tools are under constant review and development, with new features being added every week.

Full Name | COLLADA - Collaborative Design Activity |
Type | 3D Model |
Mime Type | text/xml |
Format | Text |
Opens With | Blender, MeshLab |
A DAE file, also known as a Collada file, was developed by the Khronos Group as an open standard format for representing 3D models and their associated data in a manner that is both extensible and compatible with other 3D modelling applications.
The extensibility of the DAE format comes from the fact that content is stored within an XML structure, allowing the 3D model geometry to be stored along with texture and material information, as well as animations. As it is an extensible format, new features can be added relatively easily without impacting compatibility.
As mentioned, the DAE format was designed to be an open format, standardized to allow any 3D modelling application to easily implement support for DAE files. Popular 3D modelling apps such as Blender offer support for the DAE format out of the box.
DAE Converter Capabilities
When converting 3D model or mesh files using our DAE converter, we will attempt to convert colour materials into a suitable format for use in the converted file.

Opens With | Paint.Net, Photoshop |
A WebP file is a next-generation image file format designed for the web. It allows large and highly detailed photographic-quality images to be stored using a very small file size, making it an ideal format for use by websites where bandwidth comes at a premium.
It's aim is to replace other photographic formats, such as JPEG, by offering similar levels of compression and quality while offering a superior reduction in file size. As well as storing static images, the WEBP format can also store animations, making it a great alternative to the traditional animated GIF format.
As the WEBP format is still relatively new, support for it is best found in modern image editing applications or those that benefit from regular updates.
Our tool will internally render your DAE file and capture an image of the 3D render, which will be saved to a WEBP file using a high-quality setting, ready for you to download.
