This is our fast and free file converter, specializing in converting your OBJ 3D model files. You can convert your OBJ files to a number of different formats, whether that be another 3D model format or an image. Our OBJ converter can handle the most popular formats. Our OBJ converter can also batch process up to 20 files at a time.
Or drag and drop your files here to upload.
A maximum of 20 files can be uploaded at once.
To start, please click the button above and select the OBJ 3D model files you wish to convert. If you have any separate material files (MTL) or texture files, these can also be selected, and our tool will automatically group them together with the correct OBJ file. Once you have selected these, you can specify what you would like each file to be converted to. This could be another 3D model format or another format from our extensive list. Once the target formats have been set, you can apply any configurations (such as applying the built-in voxelizer) by clicking the button.
Here are 3 simple steps to convert your OBJ file using our fast and free OBJ file converter tool.
Yes! Our OBJ conversion tools are 100% free to use.
No, you can convert as many files as you wish. We do not impose any conversion limits on our OBJ conversion tools.
We aim to process all OBJ conversions as quickly as possible; this usually takes around 5 seconds; however, this can be longer for certain files and significantly longer for some larger file formats, so please be patient.
Once your OBJ file has been uploaded and we know the file format you wish to convert it to, our bespoke conversion software will convert your OBJ and make it available for you to download with a unique download URL.
Yes, of course it is! Your OBJ, once converted, is deleted 1 hour after upload, and the download link will expire after this time.
Yes! Our OBJ conversion tools will run on any system with a modern web browser.
If you are having difficulty converting your OBJ, you can contact us, and we will try to help where possible.

The OBJ file format is a 3D graphics file format used to define complex 3D models, including geometry, materials, and textures. OBJ files are text files, making them human-readable and easy to modify by hand. The downside to this ease of readability is that the files can become rather large when dealing with large or complex 3D models.
As mentioned, the OBJ format stores not only 3D model geometry but also materials and textures. These materials are usually defined in a separate file with the MTL file extension and specify geometry rendering details such as diffuse and specular colour, transparency, and much more.
The OBJ material file can also reference external texture files. These are usually JPEG or PNG files; however, these can be older formats, such as TGA. Where materials are used, the OBJ file will also contain material names preceding the geometry faces they should be applied to. If textures are referenced, the geometry will also contain texture coordinates (UV) for each vertex.
OBJ Converter Capabilities
Our OBJ converter can both convert from and to OBJ files, and our developers are working to improve our OBJ conversion tools in future versions. When converting 3D model or mesh files using our OBJ converter, we will attempt to convert colour materials into a suitable format for use in the converted file.
