This is our fast and free file converter, specializing in converting your STL 3D model files. You can convert your STL files to a number of different formats, whether that be another 3D model format or an image. Our STL converter can handle the most popular formats. Our STL converter can also batch process up to 20 files at a time.
Or drag and drop your files here to upload.
A maximum of 20 files can be uploaded at once.
To start, please click the button above and select the 3D model STL files you wish to convert. Once you have selected these, you can specify what you would like each file to be converted to. This could be another 3D model format, or another format from our extensive list. Once the target formats have been set, you can apply any configurations (such as applying the built-in voxelizer) by clicking the button.
Here are 3 simple steps to convert your STL file using our fast and free STL file converter tool.
Yes! Our STL conversion tools are 100% free to use.
No, you can convert as many files as you wish. We do not impose any conversion limits on our STL conversion tools.
We aim to process all STL conversions as quickly as possible; this usually takes around 5 seconds; however, this can be longer for certain files and significantly longer for some larger file formats, so please be patient.
Once your STL file has been uploaded and we know the file format you wish to convert it to, our bespoke conversion software will convert your STL and make it available for you to download with a unique download URL.
Yes, of course it is! Your STL, once converted, is deleted 1 hour after upload, and the download link will expire after this time.
Yes! Our STL conversion tools will run on any system with a modern web browser.
If you are having difficulty converting your STL, you can contact us, and we will try to help where possible.

The STL, or Standard Triangle Language, file format has been around since the '80s and is supported by most modern 3D modelling applications. In particular, the STL format has become something of a standard format within the area of 3D printing, despite the rise of more modern formats such as 3MF.
STL files come in two flavours: binary or text format. The text format is human-readable, making it easy to perform manual edits, but can lead to very large file sizes. As you can imagine, the binary format is much more compact and represents the majority of the STL files you are likely to encounter.
The format itself is very simple; the 3D model is represented by a sequential list of triangles, with each triangle defined with 3 points consisting of their X, Y, and Z positions, along with an additional vector that contains the face normal (the direction the face is pointing). There is an additional attribute block for each triangle; however, this is largely unused and thus unsupported.
STL Converter Capabilities
Our STL converter can both convert from and to STL files, and our developers are working to improve our STL conversion tools in future versions. When converting 3D model or mesh files using our STL converter, we will attempt to convert colour materials into a suitable format for use in the converted file.
