You can use our VTP to FBX conversion tool to quickly and easily convert your 3D model files for free. You may upload up to 20 files at one time, and our batch VTP to FBX converter will process each 3D model and present you with a download link for each file once completed.
Or drag and drop your files here to upload.
A maximum of 20 files can be uploaded at once.
Our 3D model VTP to FBX tool will load your VTP file and, where supported, attempt to extract all the relevant 3D features, such as geometry, textures, and animations. To access the 3D conversion configuration options, click the button when you have selected your files. The current options support the ability to voxelize your 3D model and more.
Here are two simple steps to convert your VTP to FBX using our fast and free VTP converter tool.
First, click the "Upload..." button and select your VTP file to upload. Your VTP file will be uploaded to our servers. When the VTP to FBX conversion has completed, you can download your FBX file right away.
We aim to process all VTP to FBX conversions as quickly as possible; this usually takes around 5 seconds; however, this can be longer for certain files, so please be patient.
We aim to provide the best conversion experience. Our tools are under constant review and development, with new features being added every week.
In order to successfully convert an VTP formatted file to the FBX format, our converter tools will perform several initial checks to ensure the file provided is indeed an VTP file. There are many files out there where the file type extension does not match the data contained within the file. Along with these file type checks, our tools will do additional checks to ensure the file is correctly formatted to match the provided file type. There are many tools out there that do not always create VTP files to the exact specification.
An VTP file is a binary data file containing 3D data that makes up the 3D model, including vertices, faces, texture coordinates, and more. To guarantee efficient conversions, our tool will check all data that is contained within the VTP file and remove any information that is duplicated. This not only ensures the conversion completes more quickly, but also the generated FBX file size is smaller.
Now that the data from the VTP file has been processed, our tool can apply any conversion specified options, such as enabling Voxel mode, and with these applied, prepare the data to be converted to the final FBX file format. Part of this process ensures checking the capabilities of the FBX format and removing any data that cannot be represented.
At this point, the VTP to FBX conversion tool will have the 3D model in a state that is ready to be transferred to the FBX format. Our tool creates the FBX file, ensuring all the model data is present and is formatted to match the FBX file specification to ensure the file opens in compatible FBX file editors.

The VTP file format is the successor to the older VTK format. Updated to store data in a structured XML format rather than the bespoke plain text structure of the VTK format. The same 3D elements that could be stored within a VTK file can be transferred to the VTP format.
As VTP files are based on plain text XML, binary 3D model data can be encoded using the Base64 encoding method, which allows binary data to exist within plain text structures such as XML. This binary model data consists of common 3D geometric elements such as vertices, faces, and surface material information.
The VTP format also allows 3D model data to be stored in a compressed format prior to the Base64 encoding process to help reduce the overall file size. VTP files can be imported into several 3D editing applications, and we have a set of VTP conversion tools to convert these files to other popular 3D formats, such as STL.
VTP Converter Capabilities
Our VTP 3D Model/Mesh tool does not support any colour material data contained within VTP files, so the converted file will not contain any colour information.

FBX files are an open 3D file format developed by Autodesk for use with their Maya and 3Ds Max applications. An FBX file may contain any number of 3D objects, their associated geometry, materials, textures, animations, and more, all within a single convenient package.
The content of an FBX file is a mix of binary and ASCII text, producing a format that is both human-readable and compact. Due to their compact size, ease of use, and widespread support, FBX files are a popular choice for creating 3D animations and are also a staple in the videogame development scene.
The development of the FBX format continues to this day, with new features being included in each release. Along with being used within Autodesk's own editing solutions, FBX files can also be opened and edited in other popular 3D modelling applications, such as Blender.
FBX Converter Capabilities
Our 3D conversion tool does not support colour or material information in FBX files, so your file will not contain any colour information.
Your VTP file will be converted to a FBX file using our unified 3D model and mesh conversion tool. Our VTP 3D tool performs accurate conversions of 3D elements such as vertices, faces, normals, and relevant material information. Our tool will not attempt to transfer any colour information if it is present in your VTP file; your final 3D model will contain only geometry data.
