With our WEBP to OBJ converter, you can effortlessly convert your WEBP image file into a 3D heightmap model, which can then be loaded into your favourite 3D editing software. Our image to OBJ tool can batch convert up to 20 WEBP files at one time and quickly turn them into 3D models.
Or drag and drop your files here to upload.
A maximum of 20 files can be uploaded at once.
Our WEBP to OBJ image conversion tool comes with a set of options allowing you to fine-tune the details of how the 3D model is generated. Once you have selected a file, you will see a button, which you can click to reveal adjustable properties such as whether the tool should use a Heightmap or Extrude algorithm to create the 3D model. There are also properties to control the size and detail of the model.
Here are two simple steps to convert your WEBP to OBJ using our fast and free WEBP converter tool.
First, click the "Upload..." button and select your WEBP file to upload. Your WEBP file will be uploaded to our servers. When the WEBP to OBJ conversion has completed, you can download your OBJ file right away.
We aim to process all WEBP to OBJ conversions as quickly as possible; this usually takes around 5 seconds; however, this can be longer for certain files, so please be patient.
We aim to provide the best conversion experience. Our tools are under constant review and development, with new features being added every week.
Our tool uses a Heightmap process whereby the OBJ 3D model is created based on the luminosity of the individual pixels in your WEBP image.
Yes, to ensure our tool converts the WEBP image quickly and with a reasonable final file size, your tool will resize any image larger than 600x600 pixels.

A WebP file is a next-generation image file format designed for the web. It allows large and highly detailed photographic-quality images to be stored using a very small file size, making it an ideal format for use by websites where bandwidth comes at a premium.
It's aim is to replace other photographic formats, such as JPEG, by offering similar levels of compression and quality while offering a superior reduction in file size. As well as storing static images, the WEBP format can also store animations, making it a great alternative to the traditional animated GIF format.
As the WEBP format is still relatively new, support for it is best found in modern image editing applications or those that benefit from regular updates.

The OBJ file format is a 3D graphics file format used to define complex 3D models, including geometry, materials, and textures. OBJ files are text files, making them human-readable and easy to modify by hand. The downside to this ease of readability is that the files can become rather large when dealing with large or complex 3D models.
As mentioned, the OBJ format stores not only 3D model geometry but also materials and textures. These materials are usually defined in a separate file with the MTL file extension and specify geometry rendering details such as diffuse and specular colour, transparency, and much more.
The OBJ material file can also reference external texture files. These are usually JPEG or PNG files; however, these can be older formats, such as TGA. Where materials are used, the OBJ file will also contain material names preceding the geometry faces they should be applied to. If textures are referenced, the geometry will also contain texture coordinates (UV) for each vertex.
Our WEBP converter will convert your WEBP file to a 3D model using the Heightmap process, whereby 2D pixels, based on their luminosity, are converted into 3D space to create a full 3D OBJ model ready for download for further processing in your favourite 3D editing package or for printing on a 3D printer.
