|Full Name||Adobe Photoshop|
The PSD file format is the native raster image format used by Adobe's Photoshop image application. The format stores raster image data and is the most popular image format for computer graphics around today. Originally available on Macintosh computers Photoshop was ported to Windows in 1993.
The format has evolved over the years and compared to similar formats stores not just raster image data but additional information such as layers, masks, alpha channels, clipping paths and more. PSD files have a limit of 30,000 pixels in height and width and an overall file size limit of 2GB.

The OBJ file format originally created by Wavefront Technologies and later adopted by many other 3D software vendors is a simple text-based file format for describing 3D model/geometry. This data can include Vertices, Faces, Normals, Texture Coordinates and references to external Texture files.
As the format is text-based it is relatively straight-forward to parse by 3D modelling applications. A downside of the text-based format is the files can be rather large compared to similar binary formats such as STL and compressed files such as 3MF.
Our PSD converter will convert your PSD file to a 3D model using the Heightmap process whereby 2D pixels, based on their luminosity, are converted into 3D space to create a full 3D OBJ model ready for download for further processing in your favourite 3D editing package or for printing on a 3D printer.
First click the "Upload..." button, select your PSD file to upload. Your PSD file will be uploaded to our servers. When the PSD to OBJ conversion has completed, you can download your OBJ file straight away.
We aim to process all PSD to OBJ conversions as quickly as possible, this usually takes around 5 seconds however this can be longer for certain files, so please be patient.
We aim to provide the best conversion experience. Our tools are under constant review and development with new features being added every week.
Our tool uses a Heightmap process whereby the OBJ 3D model is created based on the luminosity of the individual pixels in you PSD image.
Yes, to ensure our tool converts the PSD image quickly and with a reasonable final file size, your tool will resize any image larger than 600x600 pixels.
